Headwaters at Barton Creek

A gravel road with gate now links Oak Meadow Drive to the Headwaters development. A source states it will be for access to a "trailer home" in which site security will be staying. No word yet as to what other uses are proposed for the access.

Application for Subdivision
This letter, received by some SC residents today, announces a public hearing Aug. 26 and Sept. 9 over the application for subdivision by the Headwaters developer. This application is for 208 lots on 137.47 acres.

Council Approves Amendments


The land to the west of Sunset Canyon, formerly Hazy Hills Ranch, is in the process of being developed, with around 1,000 homes planned.

 

The city council approved a developer-requested amendment to the previous agreement at the Aug. 12 council meeting.

 

The developer promised the council to hold town hall-type meetings with Dripping Springs residents to explain the details of their proposed development. The SCLA Headwaters Committee requested, and the developers agreed, to the publication of an Executive Summary of the development.

 

City Council requested and the developers agreed to a Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA) of the proposed Oak Meadow cut-through.

 

City Council stated an emergency access-only option on Oak Meadow likely would serve their purposes for the immediate future.
